Global Compact Network Lebanon will host the second edition of its Multi-Stakeholder SDG Forum, under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad El Hariri at the Grand Serail, to discuss and keep up with the latest trends and practices of Sustainable Development.
This forum is a unique opportunity and platform for all the stakeholders, leaders and individuals representing the public and private sector, civil society organizations and local authorities to promote multi-stakeholder dialogues, catalyze collaborations, explore innovative solutions to accelerate the SDGs in Lebanon, and work together towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Agenda.
Open to the public, the Forum’s agenda is packed with impactful presentations and live panel discussions consisting of prominent national and international pioneers to ignite a sense of awareness and urgency towards transforming words into action regarding the 17 SDGs.
GCNL’s goal leaders who are championing the SDGs will deliver speeches about topics such as access to quality education and decent economic growth, to establish a connection and sense of urgency with the audience to reach the 2030 agenda.
The first panel is about sustainable development reforms and public wellness, featuring advisers, directors and representatives from the private and public sectors and NGOS.
The second panel is about power and impact of the private sector in achieving the SDGs, hosting prominent CEOs from top national and international companies.
The third panel is about the role of classical and digital media in mainstreaming the notion of sustainability, featuring TV presenters and astounding media personalities.
Lebanon’s youth will be active participants, where the winners of our National Sustainability Youth competition will attend, along with an audience assorted with young age groups.
