Initiated in the 90's through large IT projects, change management has become a practice aimed at allowing its beneficiaries to endorse those projects which affect them. More and more common for any type of project, change management turns out to be a profitable investment. It represents 5 to 7% of the amount spent on projects but can increase the probabilities of success by about 50% in terms of time limits. By moblilizing socio-organizational diagnosis, communication, training and manager coaching, change management has four goals: information, understanding, the support and the participation of beneficiaries. Even if there are many ways to bring about change, it is a management tool that every company should adapt to its environment and challenges.
In this context, this seminar and the corresponding certification are designed by Trusted Advisors and ESSEC Chair of Change to provide the participants with deeper understanding of the global challenges and issues that are shaping the territory of change. Seminar participants will also discover how as a change agent you can intervene complex organisational systems, co-create cultures of change and innovation for a better world, and be given practical tools to help lead change and innovation back in the work environment.
Who Should Attend
The seminar and the corresponding certification are designed for managers and leaders that realize we are going through a period of considerable challenges of disruption and sustainability. Participants will be experienced leaders, senior managers, executive coaches, consultants or change facilitators from different functions within their organizations (HR, Organization, Business Units, Communication, Information Systems, …). This seminar will also be suitable for practitioners who may not necessarily be interested in imposing change but rather willing to explore new avenues of making 'good' change and innovation on a system and organisational level.
To earn the Change Certification, seminar attendees should complete the course and prepare an analysis of a study case around change management. Then, all the attendees will have a conference call – interview with the director of ESSEC Chair of Change to present the learning of the course as well as the case study.
After the certification conference the attendees will get;

- as well as, a personalized follow up during 3 months. In fact, we are offering you a coaching on applying three of the change management and change leadership tools we will be studying during the course. In fact, you will be able to apply three tools on three of your specific projects during and period of 3 months, then share the findings of your experience with your instructor. The later will then assist you (after three months from the completion of the course) on the key learning and challenges you faced when using the selected tools in your organizational environment.
Section 1: Think about the change
In this section, participants will be able to define the notion of "change management" by placing it in a historical context. They will also be able to define what change management means in relation to other practices such as leadership or project management. Participants will be able to answer questions such as: Who is driving change? What are the results of change management? And what skills are required to manage change?
Section 2: Theories of Change
This section will allow participants to illustrate the concept of "change Management" based on the three leading change management authors: Lewin, Kanter and Kotter . They will be able to identify through their work, the key elements that help explain organizational change and also the methodologies used to carry out change.
Section 3: Change Qualification
Section 3 will allow participants to analyze current changes, actors, resistances, irritants and the role of stakeholders in a change project. The participants will then be able implement change using various tools and techniques.
Section 4:instrumental change management
During this session, participants will have the opportunity to apply models and templates and effectively build a communication plan, training plan, and support plan thereby driving the change management.
Section 5: managerial change management
This section will enable participants to identify the key competencies that a manager must possess to be an effective relay and a co-builder of change with their collaborators. Thus, they will be able to explain and justify that the change will not be made just in project mode but also in the act of management.
Section 6: Agile change Management
This final section will enable the participants to use the "agile" model based on various given situations. Participants will be able to animate workshops through various animation techniques provided in this part. Cultural and behavioural changes according the "agile" model and manifesto will be assessed using the following instrumental approaches.

The seminars will be co faciliated by two Senior Experts Farid Yandouz & Cyril Awere
Following 16 years of successful professional experience, Farid Yandouz is currently a Transformation & Management Consultant for several large companies in Africa & the Middle East such as Carrefour Group, Bank of Africa, Vivo Energy (Shell), and Valtech (Valmont Group). He is author of 50+ articles around leadership, change and management development in several publications (Check collection at www.yandouz.com). Mr Yandouz spent six years with Intel Corporation as North Africa Regional Manager (Sales, Distribution, Channel). He also contributed to the business and sales development of Intel in the region, and developed expansion plans to African French-speaking countries. Before that, he spent four years in Paris, Brussels, and Rabat within Orange – Mobistar, Nokia and Devoteam as an Engineering Project Manager. Since 2010, he is managing a team consultants in charge of delivering more than 1500 consulting and training days per year for 135 clients (40% Banks, 20% Telecom Operators, 40% Government, Services and Industrial companies) in more than 30 countries. Mr Yandouz obtained the prestigious Chevening Scholarship in 2003 (financed by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office). He graduated with a Master of Science in Operational Management with Distinction from Coventry University. He also holds an IT & Telecom Engineering Degree from INPT Engineering School. Mr Yandouz is also certified Change Manager by ESSEC business School.
Cyril is a delivery and results-focused Change, Project & Programme Manager. During his 20+ years of consulting experience, he has been managing the development and delivery of strategic business development applications and network infrastructure solutions into public and private sectors throughout EMEA. He uses his experience to leverage on the use of technology to develop business, providing enhanced service levels, quality assurance, quantifiable benefits, performance, and productivity. Cyril currently provides project/program management leadership on infrastructure projects as part of Costco Warehouse's global IT strategic change programs and supports Trusted Advisors Group with training programs along with speaking engagements. In addition, he was posted to Accra, Ghana by Nokia (formally Alcatel-Lucent) in 2010 as Senior Project Manager to oversee major change programmes for Vodafone Ghana. Prior to that, he provided project and programme leadership on a consultancy basis for various blue chip and public sector organisations in United Kingdom, Europe and Africa. Cyril graduated from Middlesex University, London with an upper second class in Information Technology with Business Information System and is certified with PMP, Prince2, Agile (SCRUM), MSP and ITIL.
