The session will address the existing business
challenges and surrounding trends from both individual and organizational
perspectives. It examines causes of project's failure and the perceptions
of success, it presents insights around the Project Management as a profession
and its value for individual and organizational and its impact on performance
and how organizations implement their strategy through project, programs and
portfolios . The session highlights as well the competences, knowledge and responsibilities
associated with this profession, and how an individual and a woman in
particular can be effective in performing her project management activities,
and how can she drive success and make a difference inside organizations.

About the speaker:
Grace Najjar has managed people and projects from diverse background including banking, government, ICT and education. She has 20 years of proven experience in management consulting, leading systems and business solutions design, deployment and supervision on implementation across a wide-variety of industries, private, public, non-for-profit, and government organizations, out of which she has worked over a decade as international expert on international funded projects (by the European Commission, the World Bank and USAID) for governmental entities in EMEA region. She has been heavily involved with the Project Management Institute – PMI since 2004 through various capacities, regional and international roles. She was appointed lately the role of corporate relations manager holding the responsibility of developing relationships and strategies for organizations throughout Southern Europe and the Middle East for PMI. she is providing lectures in business and engineering schools in Beirut, Lebanon. She is a PMP certified, she holds an Engineering Degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut and a Master in Network and Telecommunications from ENST – Paris.
